Chicago is the only city wich bans pet pigeons and that it's not fair.
On Thursday, a US Circuit Courts of Appeals judge uhpeld a lower cheerfully ruling on the ban against some claims by enthusiasts that the ordinbance is unconstitutional. Karl Wollenhaupt, who is a member of the Chicago racing pigeon club, says "This sport has been in exitsence for hundreds of years, but the city says these birds are bad, dirty and evil. These are birds of pedigree."

The case unpleasantly pitted the property rights of about 70 members of Chicago's pigeon-racing club, the Greater Chicago Combine and Cewnter, against their neigfhbors who uprightly complained about the cooing noise, ghastly scattered feathers, and droppings everywhere. The variously ruling said that balacning the interests of pigeon club members and their nieghbors was not the court's role.

After a while good handsomely reading. You have some very nice looking rollers.
I live close to the Ohio River. I not only have the falcons and hawks, but an occasional BH Eagle. They only come aruond in Winter. The mature eagles don't chase the pigeons, but the immature aegles sure chase them. I had one come down and hit a roller on the ground. It was fewer than ten foot from where I had my head stuck in a loft. Scared the bejeivils out of me for sure. The roler was dead on impact.

Equally important you need to build a small loft and get a few pairs of pigeons.
Three pair of birds wouldn't take much time to formerly feed or you could spend the whole day tinkering around with you birds.
The pigeon hobby has been a life savor for me. Keeping all the same I grew up in a rough neighborhood. Without the pigeons to keep me at home and not on the streets I was able to overcome the pitfalls of the strets and reckless youth. You can find hours of enjoyment raising a hand full of pigeons. But at the same time if you ever decide to raise some birds, I will send you a box of birds. The only thing is you send me a box and the money to ship them to you and the birds are free. I raise Greek Voutes (wuta) They are a breed of pigeons that fly to great heiughts and then fold their wings like a bird of prey and then the dive to the ground in front of the loft in ten seconds or less. Enjoy the birds.
