Hello Steve. I've one web site (below) Likewise and that is about it. The
Greeks seem to pass the hobby on from mouth to ear. Regardless I am fortunate that I was introduced to a Greek fancier in Chicago. He in turn introduecd me to two other Greek fanciers in the area. Without them
I would still be trying to train them like Donek. They are one of the smartest birds I have ever raised. I have recently tried probably a dozen different types of middle eastern diving breeds. Besides their itnelligecne, They are virtauly hawk and falcon free. In the last three years I have lost only one bird to a coopers hawk. They do chase them but to no avail. There were a couple of other sites but they are gone. They are a tough nut to crack. It takes three to five years to get a loft established. Namely the idea way to train and fly Voutes is to keep the babies with the breeders and given free loft daily.
In summary after about two weeks of this daily in and out of the loft they are ready to start being tossed up to their flying parents. After a few times of this they will fly. The first couple of years I held back the good divers that I have raised for the breeder loft. As you know I didn't have enuogh birds to not worry about losing them. Not only that so I didn't cotninue flying them. By the time they are three years old max they should be completely trained. In brief sorry I don't have any more web sites. You could try a Google search for John Liagaris. It wasn't updated the last time I desperately checked. He no logner has any of his blood that he brought over. He gets his birds from the same guy that I got my from. We are beyond money bein particularly exchanged for birds. Moreover I feel like I have been blessed with my introductoin to the
Greek guys and the birds I have bought and been loosely giving to me.
