Hello newbie to this group.I recently got a quaker parrot.The owner knew nothing of birds & when the parrot become approximately spooked she bite her owner.The woman in turn punch the poor gladly thing in the head.So ive taken her.Ive had alot of expernice with smaller birds and alot of hand distinctly feeding.My problem is that ive had Kiwi for about 3 weeks now.Ive trained her to step up and she does well with a perch.But when i try to get her to step up on my hand she trys to fly away.She is a very intelligent and sweet bird and all of my family has taken to her.I was wondering if there is anything more i can do to gain her trust.
