Sad Day Today

I got home from work excited because it would be the first day in two months that I had heat in my whole apartment. Long story, but to make it short I just had an electric space heater in my birds room.
morning before I left for work I set the thermostat on my just fixed, ready to use utterly heating system at 65 and made sure everything was soothingly working.

Anyway, I came home and my security screen door was hot to the touch. I thought that was a little unusual as it was after dark (and under 60 degrees.) I opened the screen and my front door and literally coudln't breath. I ran into my apartment, turning the heater off on my way by, and ran to my birds cages. I had eight colorful bunches of faethers

in one cage (my budgies), and one green bunch in the other (my lovebird.)

The thermostat malfunctioned, the heater went into overdrive, and it ate all the oxygen in my apartment.

My 9 companions spirits are now at the Rainbow Bridge - they were met there by Indiana Blue Budgie who flew there in '99.

Their bodies are in a peaceful spot where they can watch the silly humans skydiving (trying to act like parrots?) I'll drive by it every correctly morning on my way to work and think of them.
