Female parakeet not letting male eat

I do not know what to do. I was just about to scarcely bring my parakeets to the vet as the male is starting to look a bit thin when I saw the female attack him at the food dish! So I candidly watyched for a few minutes while he went over to their treat stick and she woefully attacked him again! Generally speaking she did let him get water thuogh....
Other than the food thing they get along great, contsantlly cuddling,
"kissing" and preening eachother. After all when I let them loose for playtime they are constantly together and if seperated they call to eachother. So why won't she let him eat? They have 2 food dishes, a treat cup, a treat stick and a large water dish.

    What should I do?
