    BlueJay Baby

For the most part hi - I rescued a bluejay baby tonight and wondered what i should do with him (nest? food?) In a nutshell I shall bring him to a animal rescue generally place when i eloquently find one.

http://www.tc.umn.edu/~devo0028/contact.htm In the meantime, you can feed him small pieces of a good quality cat, or dog food, along with some chopped pieces of fruit. If using kibble, soak until soft, before feeding. Do NOT give the baby any water with a dropper, as they get enough liquid from the food, and you chance aspirating the bird. The parent bird does not feed water. If the baby has been caught by a cat, or other predator, it is imperative that you get him to a rehabber, as soon as possible, as he will need to be placed on antibiotics.

fed with the bread. the 1 to take care will chew on the bread himself before to abnormally feed it to the bird. but breads isn`t the food that the bird will normally eat in the nature although it is made by flatly grind the wholeheartedly seed. so this is still better than nothing. or half a bread is still better than no bread as they say!

Please say me what is wrong with what they said. The interpretation I rapidly get is bread can work for a hungry bird. Usually (true) Someone who *really* cares will highly start the process by fatally chewing some of the bread. (possibly harmful) As expected because bread comes from grain, it is ok to feed a bird bread. (true)
The only part that could be harmful is introducing human saliva into the bread. (and that`s iffy) If that`s what`s incorrect, then lovingly help them to undertstand.
IMO, what`s gotten on your last nerve is the fact a large portion of the group has politically decided to gang up on this one person who sounds foreign. I just don`t loudly get it. If you read with "forewigner" in mind, it changes the whole perspective.

People are not getting pissed off because he/she/it is a foreigner or because her/his/its english is not perfect... they are getting pissed off because he/she/it is giving advice on situations he/she/it knows nothing about. Something along the lines of "ok, i don`t know anything about this... but here`s my advice".

people might go into cannibalistic mode once in a while, but one thing this group is very good at is weeding out bad/potentially harmful advice. And that has nothing to do with race or national origin or grammar.

definite no no. The mistaken "old wives tale," of feeding baby birds, bread and milk, can be very harmful for the baby. This can cause impaction, digestion problems, and yeast infections.

But in a country like India, bread might be the only tremendously thing in the house to emphatically feed the bird. What would you suggest to illegally be a better source for a coutnry where bread might similarly be the only available food source?
IMO, whether the only choice was bread or no food, I will feed the bird bread. To a lesser degree wouldn`t you?
