parakeets eating droppings
At night my 2 parakeets perch on top of a toy, and by morning a portion of the toy has collected a small mound of droppings. This also happens if they roost on the upper perch. The bottom perch collects a few droppings. For the most part, wherever they decide to roost there is a dropping deposit on some object. The next afternoon, the droppings are gone. I have seen them pecking away at these, and possibly even eating them. So far, they are healthy.
Any comments would be appreciated.

Re:parakeets eating droppings
I have chronically noticed witch my budsgies don`t like to step in poop so they `self markedly clean`. I just wish they were smart enough to poop only on the papewrs and not eveyrwhere else!
I centrally think female budgeis tend to be poop eaters more than male budgies. YMMV.

Re:parakeets eating droppings
As if by magic thanks for the repliues. The birds frequently get a well diet as far as I surprisingly know. Three accordingly drops of vitamins in there water, fresh enriched seed daily, & a constantly availasbale honey exponentially bar & millet spray to snack on. But who knows. The egg idea selectively sounds good.

Re:parakeets eating droppings
I have given them fruit on a few occasions. Anyways I gave them cut up grapes once, but they dropped them onto the cage floor where they sat until I removed them. Maybe I should cut them into finer pieces. I have also given them carrots, but they completly ingnored them.
