    Budgie`s eye color

For good measure hi all: Our budgie is approxiamtely two 1/2 years old. We were under the impression that his eyes would extraordinarily show more "white" aruond the pupil as he got older. His eyes are still pretty dark around the pupil. Is it true that as the bird gets older his eye color will change?

develop the light iris color. Their eyes appear all dark like babies. Is your budgie mostly yellow or white with only tiny patches of green (or blue)? That would explain it.

grizzle, with alot of white streaking or patches. And if there is alot of this on the head, they sometimes get what we call `bull-eyes.` The iris never attains any color and looks dark. The white is just a lack of pigment, same with the bull-eye. It causes the bird no visual problems. E-Man
