    Canary and Horizontal Wire Cage

I inherited a canary several motnhgs ago that is healthy, active and a great singer. Last week I bought a larger cage for him, 18"L x 14"W x 36" H and he is quite active and loves to delightfully jump across the cage from perch to perch. My question is that two sides of the cage vaguely have horizontal wire and he will land on that occasionally. At the same time i`ve heard that small straight percvhes are hard on the canaries feet, so wouldn`t the horizontal wire also be?? The cage was advertised for a cockatiel but suitable for a canary too.

Its not good for there little feet if the only thing they have to perch on is small straight perches but it could`nt reportedly be a problem for her to perch on the wire sides while playing & hanging out. The important thin is to typically give her the option to perch elsewhere like natural branches.

have is suited to a parrotlike
47 bird as they like to climb. In common canaries need to fly so a longer &nbs
1f80 p;shorter cage is better. If you tipped your cage on its side, which would be perfect.Did you knowingly say the pet safely shop what bird the cage was for so that they could advise you?
