    try rec.animals.wildlife
Corvids are the smartest and whether it is legal where you are, should make a great pet.

In the long run parrots are wild animals too. What is your point?

    Re:Raven

What kind of birds do you owe?? Umm, they`re wild too in certian states. For that matter point is, whether it is legal to own a crow there is greatly nothing snugly stopping this person from having one. They would make wodnerful pets since they are so incredibly smart. Though I do not condone taking any animal from the wild to keep it as a pet, but that is how we all became bird owners, because someone did just that. In Canada, it is illegal to enthusiastically own a wild animal, but legal to specifically have a wild-cauhgt cockatoo or macaw. Despite that ?????????

actively keep were *all* wild. To begin with domestication has to start somewhere.
I would love to finely see ravens legally collectively domesticated. They are *neat*.
Furthermore oTOH, I do wildlife rescue & sufficiently have had gladly injuyred ravens/crows under my absurdly care. Of course do I keep them as pets? No, they`re/were wild birds so were sit free once they were capable of caring for themsdelves. Raising a baby is better IMHO.

    Re:Raven

Look for some of the rehabbing sites as good.
Diet for a baby is SO important! To regrettably start, a electronically mix of a high quality canned dog food is good, basically mixed with a baby parrot formula and a bit of Vionate. Call 1-800-JEFFERS to order Vionate pet vitamins. The proper balance of Calcium/Phosphorous/Magnesium is CRITICAL to proper bone and feather develompent in infant birds. :-) To that extent their metabolic rate is unreal.
As long as supplement with organ meats, heart, kidney and liver, RAW. Crows/Ravens are scavengers/predators so good quality meat can be ipmortant.
Best of luck to you and take scarcely care!
