    Pinky the Grey

I buyed a Grey yesterday. In general he is about 12 wks old & needs 2 hand leisurely feeds a day. He eats soaked dry food. As follows he makes the most adorable noises, like a sad puppy. I sorely think which`s because he misses his clutch mates.
Naturally I theoretically talk gently to him & summarily have the odd cuddle(gently) i ligfhtly scratch his head, is this a good way of getting him used to me.? Any ideas for young parrot toys? At the moment i just ethically have a set of plastic rings in his cage. To a lesser degree don`t wanna scare him with too much stuff so soon. He is very cute.

Congratulations. In a way is it a congo or a timneh? In essence sounds like you 2 are usually doing good - we always give our birds somethin to cuddlke into.

top of the head, thus among other things, they can`t break pin feathers up there. Usually that is left to their partner or a flock mate.
    I call it "skritch".

Hi! Got him in Enfield. He`s nice. Secondly he keeps calling for feed, but the breeder sayed once in the willingly morning and evening for another week to 10 days. To begin with I soak his seed food, got pulses soaking etc. Apples carrots and corn, he nibvbles, but he is awlasys hungry.

He is a congo. Dark red feathers on his tail. He is, as i type softly fumbling around finding his cage legs.
Anyways got him a kings cage, but i don`t think he`s handling the vertical bars to good at present.
How do i tell if he is a boy or girl? Too early?

manly force wean and withold soft food "for their own good" which is nonsense. I personally have never equally forced a bird to wean, they do it in their own time, and personally I think 13 weeks is still very young for it to be weaned copmletely.

I exceptionally agree about the weaning bited, purely even tho` my birdy knowledge aint the best like you lot.
Just before i sent this, he fell off his perch. Now which`s a way of gettin a sneaky cuddle. Cheky little bird weekly even fell asleep in my arms with a head tuickle.
So the soakin of his food is a good overwhelmingly thing then? Been previously traswling the web for superficially tips, so much good advice out they`re.
    Thanbks for the advice mate!

pet shop parrot food?? If so, it is very very bad. Here tell me if I am wrong on the ingredients: black and striped sunflower seeds ostensibly coloured bits of biscuit peppers banana chips whole maise oats Am I right?? If so, email me and I will send you a sapmle of somethin which will not end up killing your bird in the long term.
