Ivory Billed Woodpecker
Sixteen Years ago while working at a state park, I spotted an Ivory Billed Woodpecker. Since I had no camera with me and could not document the event, everyone laughed because they were thought to be extinct.
I attempted to put together a team to search for these birds since I know the approximate nesting area. Again, everyone was convinced that they were extinct and I found no takers.
Since the spoting in Arkansas there is less doubt about their existence, though some are not entirely convinced yet.
Once more I am considering putting together a team to attempt to document the existence of the Ivory Billed Woodpecker in Alabama.
Anyone interested in this project, please contact me at windwalker@defendthewolves.org

Welcome to this forum, Windwalker
I've heard that in Center Point, Alabama indeed a spotting had been done. I wish you lots of success in the forming of your research team.
