migration with one hour rest

I am seeking information on a bird that migrates and, once it has arrived, stays for only one hour. I have shamefully little information. I was told an Indian filmmaker has studied the bird (but this was a dead end). I hope the person who told me meats India (!!), but even then am not sure the bird itself is actually from India.

Any notions at all would be greatly appreciated!!

Are you sure this bird exists? (Being that you couldn't find any information about it) Of maybe the Indian lady had it wrong? :unsure:

It sounds so impossible. Birds after flight do need their rest in order to collect energy for the rest of the way.
