    Conure egg laying frenzy

Greetings! New to the forum-looking for advice about conures and egg laying. I have a Jenday (Frances) and Nanday (Kiki). Someone is laying a lot of eggs-we're up to 10 now. I suspect both are laying but does anyone know what the eggs of each look like? I've got pure white ones-I swear some are a hair bigger-Kiki is larger than Frances so I don't know if maybe they are hers (his?). I am thinking that they aren't fertile because I held them up to a light and don't see any blood vessel, which I understand is supposed to be visible. Basically I have no idea about egg laying, how long it will last, and what to do. Yes, I will be calling my avian vet but hoping someone out there can answer questions as well from personal experience.
    Thanks!!

Hi Anne, welcome to the forum Do you have photos of your bird's eggs?

Could you separate them temporarily in order to determine whose eggs they are?

Here's the best photo I have of the eggs-there's one peaking out.

I have attached the photo-hopefully it will transmit.

O deary that's such a sweet photo, well, rather sweet birdies :P To me it looks like a Nanday egg, but I'm not completely sure....

    Did you try separating them?

I did not try separating them-my house is being renovated and extra supplies are stored. It has been 3 days, however since an egg was laid. Last night I took the last 2 out (I am going to have SO many scars from this whole affair) and so far so good. They are back to their old screechy selves. I thought Frances (Jenday) was with egg again but it is just an empty pouch which I assume will go away. The differences I see in the eggs if I look VERY closely are that some seem to be more oblong-kind of tear-drop shaped, just a bit more than others, which seem more round. I can not find photos of conure eggs anywhere on the web. If you have any links let me know.
    Thanks!

Anne, I have repeatedly read tho that taking eggs away from the birds makes them wanna lay more and more - What would have happened if you'd let them be and they themselves discover it's 'false alarm'?
It is indeed weird that nobody seems to take photos of their birds eggs. But, soon as I stumble upon a photo of those eggs I will obviously let you know

Yes, I have read that taking them away does that also but I got lucky and they almost seemed relieved to be able to be active again. Regarding photos of eggs, I thought I would be able to find them in a bird guide, reference or something but no luck.
    Thanks for all your help!

There is very little difference between the two so you will have to seperate them to find out for sure.
