love bird losing feathers

I have a male and female lovebird. The female has lost her feathers on one side of her body. I do not see her picking at herself or her mate picking at her, but nonetheless, the feathers are gone. Any ideas on what could be wrong? She appears healthy otherwise.

I would take her to an avian vet, just to rule out the possibility she's having a skin infection
