    lovebirds not eating

I have two lovebirds who have been eating a pelleted diet - no preservatives, a veternarian brand. In the last couple of weeks they both have been shunning that food. I have been trying some new foods, a couple of different seed mixtures. I have tried treat sticks, which they normally eat up as a special treat and they aren't eating those. They are both only eating millet on a consistent basis. One of them eats a few sunflower seeds from one of the seed mixes. The other one is occassionally eating the original pelleted diet.

I don't want them to switch to a seed diet, but I don't seem to be able to get them off of the millet and return to their normal diet, with the occasional treat sticks and millet. I am afraid of leaving them only the pellet diet as I don't want them to quit eating altogether and lose weight - which is stable currently.

Any ideas about what approach to take to get them to back on a healthier diet?

    Dnvrs1errav1sta, welcome to the forum

Maybe they're going through a period and it will return to normal once this is over.. I would, if I were you, just keep giving them both, pelleted and millet and slowly giving less and less of the millet and see if that works.
