How do I take care of two week old parakeets?

We have two week old parakeets (not planned) and I have bween on the internet trying to find out how to get the regurtated food off their chin (if thats what you call it) because the mother bird is feed ing both of them. And I am at my whits end as I cannot find any answer!

Could someone please help. I have never taken care of a parakeet this young and am a little nervous about doing the right things.

    Thanks

Hello Swsgal47, welcome to the forum, I am happy you joined us

Are you sure this needs to be cleaned? If the mother is feeding the chicks she will take care of that if it constitutes a problem. This is nature and that would also be done that way were they not kept captive

I agree with Florence but the mother is not around to look after the chicks you have the option of hand rearing them. You will have to by a special mix from your vet or local pet store to feed them with and keep them warm at a stable tempreture. Your vet should give you advice.Good luck raising them into fine young birds
