Hi I"m new here. I have Cockateils on eggs. She has layed 2 and expecting another today. She started sitting on the first egg. When she eats Daddy sits. Should I still keep a lot of light on the birds. I want them to get all of the vitamins they need from the light. I have made sure they have pleanty of calcium and vitamin rich foods and soft food. I'm a first time breeder but want to make sure everything is right. I have read for months before trying to breed.

Limpy, welcome to the forum here It's great to have you!
I think you shouldn't change the light situation but do provide for a place - like a hide out - where they can move to if they're feeling uncomfortable
They have a nesting box they are in was just wondering about the lighting. The picture is a picture of their cage and moma and daddy. Mama is the white bird. And CJ is the gray. Thanks for the nice welcome.

They are a pretty couple, Limpy B) I'm sure those chicks will be gorgeous as well. I am a believer of imitating nature (if nature isn't 'around') so I think the lighting will be OK, just like outside
