Budgie edd problem!!!!
Hi Niedacheer123
Nothing. She obviously threw it out because she doesn't want it (if it was not by accident that is) - so if nature is to be taken as guide it is best to not do anything (unless the egg was near hatching time in which case perhaps, if you would like the chick to hatch anyway without a 'mom' and thus take it upon you to handfeed it every 2-3 hours for the coming weeks) you could keep it in an incubator or under a warm light.

Budgie edd problem!!!!
Well the egg was there for three days and my parents didnt want it to rot and i didnt want the male to break it because he kept messing with it. My mom told me to throw it out so i did. also it had black dots when it was first laid so i didnt know if that meant anything since it was the only one like that. does it?

Budgie edd problem!!!!
Hmmm I have never heard of budgies eggs having black dots (the fertile ones that is) - but that is just my own experience. I will stand corrected if someone would say differently. (based on facts, of course)
I think you did the right thing though.

Budgie edd problem!!!!
it is very odd. it was the only one in the clutch that had the dots on it. she started to ignore the egg and im not really sure if it was the first egg laid i can't remember. we thought at first the egg was changing colors because i heard that the fertile eggs will turn blue. thnx for helping me know if i did the right thing and also i need to know what to do when the eggs have hatched. this is my first time breeding. how long should i wait to give the babies away? we are gonna give them to a pet shop. is that a good idea? thnx again for your help.

Budgie edd problem!!!!
Well, Niedacheer123 - I think each baby budgie is different. You should take care that they can eat seed on their own and the parents don't feed them at all and then you could give them away. Usually around 5-7 weeks. But again: it differs from baby to baby.
Me personally would rather give them to other people who would like to take care of budgies than a pet shop but, if that is impossible I think a pet shop is OK as well.

umm well we were gonna give them away to people but my parents were a little worried about safety so then we decided on a pet shop. me and my sis thank you very much for your help. i have one more question for you. is there anything i should no about the babies in order to care for them right?

Budgie edd problem!!!!
Niedacheer123, I am so sorry. I have to revise my advice given hereabove. I now learned that chicks shouldn't be taken from their parent until they are around 10-12 weeks because they should first go through the moult. My apologies for handing out the wrong information.
Anyway, let the parents take care of the chicks and you take (good) care of the parents so they can fulfill their job to the utmost ;-)
