    UNHAPPY LOVEBIRD UNHAPPY OWNERS

So I have I lovebird if u havent realized. It is my first bird. I have had it for a couple of years. For the first and second years it was great it was friendly and we could take it out a lot. But then as time passed it started biting a lot and now it bites at everything. I'm getting really frustrated. What i think happened is that we didnt take the bird out enough. Since the bird is at my dads house, i see her about 2 days a week. My dad never took out the bird and i think not being taken out enough became the problem. I want to be able to take little Fuji out again. Does anyone know any solution to this? I MISS THE WAY SHE WAS BEFORE!

    Help greatly appreciated

    UNHAPPY LOVEBIRD UNHAPPY OWNERS

Hi Tyler109, welcome to the forum

I think best approach is to be around her more than 2 days a week so she'll feel comfortable around you again and then slowly slowly try to get her used to your hand.

Well her cage is right next to the dinning room table so we are by her everyday even if I'm not there so is there something I can do instead I will try to get her used to my hand my finger might bleed however but I'll try. Thanks a lot!

I really must apologize, I am very ashamed but I didn't get the "we are by her everyday" and "even if I'm not there" bit

Good luck with letting her get used to your hand Take it very slowly though, the more time you take the less chance on bleeding fingers

I see OK, so did you take into consideration that the bird can get more attached to your father and him being able to do more with him if so? Of course, if you get to see the bird on a regular basis he can also start to learn to trust you as well because birds aren't 'stupid' Good luck and be careful on those fingers
