    Cockateil egg laying

Inherited and male and female cockateil 6 months ago she layed 3 eggs then stoped. She started laying again on Feb. 5th ,she layed her 10th egg last night (Feb 23rd). I have searched online and everywhere is saying that she should only lay 2-9 eggs and dangerous for them to lay more than that. Will she stop soon or is there something I need to do?

    Cockateil egg laying

Hi Ashley, I don't think there is a whole lot you can do about that. "Nature" will tell her what to do and if she lays more eggs that's it. BUT(!) you most certainly can do something after she stops laying the eggs (and starts to sit on them). You can remove a portion of the eggs then. In the meanwhile do supplement her diet with extra calcium
