:blink: Im new here and i have two lovebirds who just laid 5 eggs as of today and i wanted to get some advice on check to see if they are fertile...should i check or should i just let it run its course??? this is my first time with lovies but not my first time being a grandmother to birds...but i know they all are quite different in their own way...im planning on handfeeding them but i wanted to get some advice on when to start doing so as i heard so many different times to do it....if anyone has any good websites for me to read up on please help me out...
As far as the eggs...the 1st one i believe was laid on May 21st and the 5th one was laid this morning...how long will it take for them to hatch and do i go by the 1st one????:side:
Well here is the picture of the 5 lil eggs and today i just happened to check the eggs...and low and behold 2 out of 5 have viens...so ladies and gentalmen we have fertile eggs LOL...ill let everyone kno when the babies hatch! <br><br>Post edited by: PeachyRaz, at: 2009/05/30 18:41
Well i've been super busy and my computer went haywire so had to reboot it and then lost this website and couldnt remember it for the life of me...but im HERE again LOL..and i have an updat...3 out of 5 babies survived and i've been thru quite a bit with them...i've benn handfeeding the last 3 and they are beautiful little things...i have one hen which is Lutino and her name is Lemon...i almost lost her a few times and even tho she is the middle child so to speak she is smaller and developing slower but she is getting there...Then we have Banana who is the oldest and he/she is such a loveable lovie and then there is Plum who is the youngest and he/she is the nosey and most curious little lovie i have ever saw LOL but here are some pics of them and i hope you enjoy!!!
