    Birds Fighting - Help Needed

Hi, I have 2 Green Cheek conures. They never got along from the beginning, and we cant have them both out at the same time because one will decide to charge and attack the other. We are used to this.

However, the other day one bird got out of his cage, and flew to 2nd cage and they were fighting through the cage, Unfortunately we were outside and when we came inside we had a bloody mess.

They both love us very much, and i've read about keeping one in a seperate room can harm their emotions and cause problems/depression. I've also noticed we tend to not play with the bird that is isolated.

So, What can i do to be able to have both birds in one room, without fear of them killing each other if they get out. My only idea is to build or put some sort of 2nd cage around the main cage, so that they cannot bite each other through the cage and prevent contact with each other.

yes, at the time the best thing you can do is to separate them in two cages. And after a month or so you can try putting them back in one cage and see if there is any progress
