thank you for letting me join your group. I have always loved watching birds and now I have bird pets.I have 3 zebra finches,2 cockatiels.and 3 parakeets.Myfemale parakeet just hatched 2 eggs and is setting on 3 more.Is there anything special I should do for her?

Hello kmbt Welcome to the forum!
Except for taking care you add some more calcium to your parakeet's food there isn't much more you need to do. Nature works perfect, in that sense.

What kind of birds can you see in the area you live in?

we put out feeders for cardinals,blue jays,wrens,bluebirds,sparrows,some starlings,grackles,and many more. Now that the weather is changing we will soon be seeing harris sparrows and juncos,and more that I can't name.thanks for tha advice about calcium...will cuttle bone be good for that?

I would add some calcium supplement through her food as well.

Wow, that sounds like a little birds paradise where you are living. Here I mostly get to see 5 bird species (when viewing from my balcony) only. Though, they are very sweet !!

there are still more that I haven't named...we are lucky to be living where we do...and new update...we now have 3 babies that have hatched!!
