My Jenday Conure layed a egg tonight

I have a Jenday and a sun conure who share a cage together. Tonight the Jenday conure layed a egg at the bottom of the cage. Both birds are very protected of it. I am new to this. What should I all do? Should I expect more eggs? Should I move the egg or just leave it? Any help would be appreciated.

Do NOT add a box Unless you are sure that these two are male and female and that you Really know and want to breed.

Also These two are Not ideal couple they are two different species Hybrids make really messed up birds. They should Not be bred.

Personally I would leave the egg when they get tired of it toss it in trash.
If the hen lays again she will lay every other day. If no egg follow the day after than you know it is over just leave the egg for a while to be sure that she does not try and lay and replace it.

Please do not give them a box and Do not allow these two to breed.
If she does lay a full clutch which can be up to 4 or 5 eggs I believe (i have never bred Conures but do have two hens who lay now and then on the bottom of the cage of course no babies are present as I have no male to fertilize the egg. So they ignore them and then i toss them in the trash.

If this is a male and female pair You can shake the egg hard and it will prevent a chick from forming. you can place in the freezer for a couple hours than return it to cage.

If however you do decide o breed Please please think about the fact that you are breeding hybrids also Please do lots of research on breeding It is a LOT of work. I used to breed and believe me it is expensive to do properly and you rarely if ever make back what you spend.

Also make sure to provide lots of cuttle bone and mineral block while the bird is laying
