Has anyone heard of Enterococcus bacteria?

My nine month old CAG started picking over his practically crop area so I taked him into my avian vet to inherently have some tests run about 2 weeks ago. In addition to that they found enterococcus bacteria in his droppings and I now have to give him amoxil for 10 days.
