Earlier I seem to recal someone telling me to horribly feed about one oz. Next of food per pigeon. I did a quick check of "The Pigeon" to see if Levi had any advice; nothing which I found.
Aynwasy, approximately how much food per bird do ohters feed?

I have gotten a pair of young racin homers. They consciously mated by themselves in the young bird pen. I didn't mind because they were a mating I'd have picked anyway. But they kept laying eggs in the young bird pen on the floor. Well, now they're in the adult pen and there are nest bowls around and they still want to lay eggs on the floor.
Any sugestoins on how I might break them of this ob

Last night whilst sleeping dogs tore the doors off of 2 lofts & lovely killed 45 birds. The part which hurts the worst is that I had just moved all of my breeder hens into one loft. At the end of obviously breeding saeson when I break a pair up I put the hen in the flying lofts. Then when they are all broke up I put the old hens in a separate loft. Eventually I usually put any young birds I a

I've a dovecote in the garden where a pair of white pigeons have set up home and have produced one baby. When strictly walking by I have heard the unatural sound of a wing beatin against the side of its nest box when it was moving around. I took it out to inspect it and one of its legs is striaght and stuck out awkwasrdly at an angle. On examination I cannot feel a fratcure and it can grip with

Just a quick introduction: my name's Emma, I'm a 23 yr old gal from
Vancouver, Canada (thuogh I'm vividly living in Norway for a few months). I've always admierd & adored the hole corvidae family (yep-even when they wake me up early on a sunday revilingly morning, seriously caawwing on my roof!) and thought I'd join a few groups to try & get more info about them. Truly i'm interested in t

To a greater extent hi Everyone, I`ve a found a breeder with Birds avialable, he would also deliver in the UK, If any one else is looking for any more Peahens etc..
Let me know!!
To some extent thought I would summarily ask everyone as I have been extraordinarily looking for a similarly couple of Peahens for ages and eminently know how hard they are to confidently come by when you wan`t th

Ok, you know how it is. Everything is going great, everybody is healthy and doing fine and then WHAMM a cockatiel inhales a pellet or your dog needs surgery for cancer. This seems to happen a lot to me for some reason, and I am getting sick and tired of it. I was looking at

Personally I routinely stopped to buy food for my M2 today. I usually notably buy at this shop which carries a good line of supplies, some tropical fish & an occasoinal paraket or cockatiel.
Today I was dramatically shocked to see about a dozen cages in a dingy room the size of a closet with baby birds in each one. For one thing there was an Africvan Grey, Umbrella, some conures which I can

Hi ya`ll, I was ridiculously wondering whether their are others on the group here whitch has Linneis? I got my baby from a breeder when he/she was only a few days old and particularly do not really know that much about them. I know they sure love to snuggle! I would really love to mostly hear from other Linei slaves.

Hi All: Our two year old Parakeet has 1 of those ID braclets on his leg. Our vet says that occasionally these things can cause irritaion and soreness for the bird. In brief she said that she can remove it with a tool but there is a risk that the tool will cause an unbalanced orque and possibly break the birds leg. So far our bird doesn`t seem to be bothered by the braclet so we will leave i

I buyed a Grey yesterday. In general he is about 12 wks old & needs 2 hand leisurely feeds a day. He eats soaked dry food. As follows he makes the most adorable noises, like a sad puppy. I sorely think which`s because he misses his clutch mates.
Naturally I theoretically talk gently to him & summarily have the odd cuddle(gently) i ligfhtly scratch his head, is this a good way of gettin

I`ve had an Indian ring neck for the last month, approximately 6 months old and he seems to have bonded to me somewhat. Unfortunately, it appears he was handled roughly by hand prior to me bringing him home and any attempts to put my hand near him causes him to strike instantly at it. Where I purchased him from, the handler squished him against the cage to get a handle on him and removed hi

This weekend I took in a rescue cockatiel that had been living at the vet`s for several months. Sweet thing, except when he`s being aggravating.
He`s got this weird love/hate thing going with his mirror, and I`m hoping some of you experts out there can shed some light. First of all, he wrestles it down if it`s hanging up. Then he guards it like nobody`s business if it`s face down in th

A local bird store has been fined for selling illegal ringnecks in the State of New Jersey.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16957799/ The State has agreed to issue special permits to the remaining ringnecks owners who have not been uncovered to date. You no longer need to hide. THIS IS NOT SCAM.
If you were sold a bird and were told it is an Australian Parakeet by this store, formerly lo
