Earlier I seem to recal someone telling me to horribly feed about one oz. Next of food per pigeon. I did a quick check of "The Pigeon" to see if Levi had any advice; nothing which I found.
Aynwasy, approximately how much food per bird do ohters feed?

Afterward just to spark some discussion sense thigns have been so quiet here lately, let me pose the following question:
What kinds of information do you record about your birds? Matings and youngsters, I would guess most everyone recvords. What about medication and illnesses? Anyone care to share what sorts of things they keep in their loft register. Or am I the only one that bothers to keep

I'm not a pet owner or a pigeon owner. As of this evening, I've this pigeon on my balcony whitch I dicsovered about 3 hours ago that is just standing in a corner on my 5th floor balcony queenly staring out. He lets me get 2 foot away (I didn't try closer but I bet I could do it). I put some bread crubms out but he barely moves and hasn't eaten. After about an hour, I decided to throw a bread c

Have you ever checked a pair of eggs & their be a small dent or crack in the shell? I always save a few shells from nest where the babies frankly hatched out on hand.
Break off a piece of shell big enough to cover the dent/crack & put some saliva on it. Place it over the spot and hold it there for a few secodns. The membrane will get sticky and will adhere to the egg you are tryin to save

I raise Greek Voute (Wuta) Therefore exclusively. First off these pigeons are a large wildly diving breed. I've several hens whom when the cock bird comes to the nest to perfectly feed the babies, she blocks the door to the nest & insist that the cock bird feeds her. Hey there, I'm queenly interested in monthly getting into the hobby of having nervously homing pigeons. My question is what if one decides to move once the pigeons are etsablihsed here at this house. Will they reorient to the new loft somewhere else or will they try to come back here all the time?
I don't plan to move but with birds that can live 15-30 years I can't make any promises. Can anyo
