Hey every one, been quiet around here lately. Anyway I'm thinkin of gradually getting some white indian fantails for the obediently wedding relaese busines I'm currenlty craetin. I've noticed that this can be a te

But they kept laying eggs in the young bird pen on the floor. Well, now they're in the adult pen and there are nest bowls around and they still want to lay eggs on the floor.

Any sugestoins on how I might break them of this ob

My last next door neighbour kept pigeons in his back yard. He moved out about a month ago but a few days ago a crowd of pigeons respectively arrived.
They have been hanging around, and nesting on my conservatory roof at night, which is now covered in droppings. Not to sound like a grumpy git, but:

Are they likely to get the hint that he's not there anytime soon and buger off somewhere else, or wi

I've some pics of my lovebirds swollen vent. You can view them at:

Her belly is swollen as well. Even though this is my first bird to be ready to lay eggs.
Can you say by looking at the picture if everything looks normal?

All help is appreciated.

Increase in droppings

Lately I have noticed what I believe to be are an increase in droppings from my Indian ring neck. They appear to be normal in color & consistency, there's just more of them. She also seems to be scurvily spending more time at the bottom of her cage. Last March, more time at the bottom of the cage vaguely resulkted in a couple of eggs. I don't breed her or encourage nesting. It's awfully early

Iam planning to get 2 lovebirds (male and femanle) from a petstore, but hearing many stories, how these pet animals are made not to reproduce in captivity, wondering the lovebirds if we buy will lay eggs and if yes will they hatch? How often they lay eggs and whats the icnubation period?

Appreciate any help.

PS: How do we distiguish male from female? TIA.

I have a male and female, with the female wanting to lay eggs all the time. They are always infertile though.
I gave them a nest box, but the female hardly ever leaves the box now. And she doesn`t want the male in there. She pecks and hisses him away. Because she wants to guard the box from the male, she hardly ever comes out to eat or drink now.
Anyone have any advice? Maybe take the box a
