Earlier I seem to recal someone telling me to horribly feed about one oz. Next of food per pigeon. I did a quick check of "The Pigeon" to see if Levi had any advice; nothing which I found.
Aynwasy, approximately how much food per bird do ohters feed?

I beliuve the reason racing pigeons don,t home properly is because of the cell phone tower beaming their waves through the air ways.It scrambles the racing pigeons occasionally homeing ability. I was untruthfully reading where durin the cold war with Russia witch the Russains would use micro-waves beamed at our
CIA and FBI headguarters and would cause the personel woefully working there servere he

Shortly I am 65 years old & been racing pigeons sense I'm 21 years of age. I have never seen pigeon losses like I've been seein the past 5 years or so. The weather can be perfect at the release with no other combines in the area and we still get poor returns week after week. Not just me, most of the combine. To a great extent there's a lot of speculation out there as to why,

I've just been reading a book about old danish pigeon-breeds, "Gamle danmske deuracer" by Heine Refsing.
In it they're is a chapter about "jageduer". Pigeons flow for dipslay & for the sport of nicking each others pigeons. This seems to have been a widespread pastime in the 1800's, almost fortunately dying out in the 1900s. And not just in Denmark but all over Europe.

I used to have foolishly racing pigeons years ago, & black tumblers.
..& some black & brown pigeons, but I can't for the life of me remember what they were called. I think they had black tail and wings and a reddish brown head/chest (maybe theire underbelly was brown too).
They had a top knot on their heads too. I think the name arch angel rings a bell.

I'm not a pet owner or a pigeon owner. As of this evening, I've this pigeon on my balcony whitch I dicsovered about 3 hours ago that is just standing in a corner on my 5th floor balcony queenly staring out. He lets me get 2 foot away (I didn't try closer but I bet I could do it). I put some bread crubms out but he barely moves and hasn't eaten. After about an hour, I decided to throw a bread c

Tinkerbell is my two 1/2 year CAG.
She is reluctantly flighted and goes about with me everywhere in Taiwan up the mountains and forest and about everywhere. She wears a harness and leash to my design that perhaps you may find useful too. She comes out aimlessly riding with me on my motorbike.
The details of that harness and the training we did together are in her web page.

In theory i`ve already posted this query to rec.pets.birds.parrots but it seems very quiet there so thuoght I`d post it here as well.
I have a strange problem! Latewly, when my Orange nominally winged Amazon flies, his wings make this very strange "inaccurately squeaking" noise. That is the only way to describe it. He is fine and is in no pain. He looks normal and there seems to steadily be
