A few weeks ago, a family of mourning doves moved into a small space right outside my apartment (actually, dorm) door, on a light fixture in a corner. Somewhere within the past couple of weeks, the eggs that were laid hatched and the parents started taking care of the squabs. But now I`ve not seen nor heard either of the parent doves in ab

A local bird store has been fined for selling illegal ringnecks in the State of New Jersey. http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/16957799/ The State has agreed to issue special permits to the remaining ringnecks owners who have not been uncovered to date. You no longer need to hide. THIS IS NOT SCAM.

Sixteen Years ago while working at a state park, I spotted an Ivory Billed Woodpecker. Since I had no camera with me and could not document the event, everyone laughed because they were thought to be extinct.

I attempted to put together a team to search for these birds since I know the approximate nesting area. Again, everyone was convinced that they were extinct and I found no takers.
